About Me
My Story
I am Giang Le, often referred to as Chloe. I have just finished my degree at Curtin University, Western Australia studying a bachelor’s in Commerce majoring in Marketing and Fashion Design. Besides studying at university, I have also been working as a part-time marketer at Y-Group. My role is to manage marketing for a coffee brand calls The Northbridge Coffee Roasters and support other sides of the company by creating content.

My passion for fashion started in high school when I found out that fashion is the best way for me to express myself and present my personality to a group of people. To me creating fashion as well as other arts show my value of myself. Being able to work in the creative industry and design clothing for people to make them feel more confident in themselves has always been my dream.

Also, being brought up in an Asian country, which is Vietnam has strongly impacted my passion for fashion. Asia, especially some developing countries such as Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, China, and others pay the most attention to their appearances, therefore, growing up in a country where people dress up and use fashion as a method of expressing themselves have given me a perspective that fashion is a self-value measurement.

As a future fashion designer, my purpose is to create a brand that works as a resourcing center for upcycling fashion and influence the fashion industry to minimize fashion waste in landfill. I value culture and natural balance, as a society, and as mankind, being creative and having culture is as important as protecting the environment. People should still be able to express their personality through fashion but not generate more waste. I want to use the existing resources without producing new fabrics and create a platform for people who also have the same value to share their creativity in designing wearable art. The vision for the future of my brand is to create a ‘tomorrow’ when both consumers and producers are having a different mindset compared to how the world is working at the moment and fashion would no longer become the biggest threat to the environment. Enable for this vision to come true, my mission is to provide the textile market and fashion industry with a ‘recycling bin’, as a result, influence the consumers to change their shopping habits, and influence the industry to change the way productions are currently being processed.

In addition, my personal value is confidence and this is the reason why I have always dreamt of designing clothes for men and women in all shapes and sizes with affordable pricing, from then, everyone would be accessible to stylish fashion.

However, the more I get exposed to the work field, the more I learn that I'm also interested in photography, videography, and content creation. I am currently working as a marketer, however, my main responsibility is creating content for the social media page. From this job, I have been able to learn and upgrade my skills. Now I am capable of:
- Taking photos and videos
- Use Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustration, and InDesign
- Use Canva and Capcut
- Create marketing campaigns
- Manage Website and Social Media
Overall, I am a creative person who loves to work in a creative environment. I would be delighted to use the skills and knowledge I learned to apply into performing my best in any position I am given.
